I sit in my small room, a space that was transformed into a creative studio only a little over a year ago. There is just enough room for a desk, piles of paper, and the two large steps of empty floor that often become an extension of the table. I rarely simply sit down and begin creating. Usually, it takes several rounds around the room (yes, the same two-by-two square metres of space), letting my eyes wander before something catches my attention. Surrounded by printed photog

It starts with a thought. Or perhaps a feeling. A desire to connect with others beyond the screen, to co-create and see what happens when different worlds meet. An invitation that turned into a generous response. With letters that travelled across the world, eventually finding their way into one collective work. But they became much more to me than that. An inside into each person’s world and in many ways, a tool for my own transformation. My work has evolved along the way. M

Not everything we feel arrives as language. Sometimes it arrives as an image. Sometimes as piece of music. Sometimes through a few words.
